The "Bright World of Metals" was the name given to the trade fair quartet GIFA, NEWCAST, METEC and THERMPROCESS, which is the world's most important trade fair platform for metallurgy and foundry technology. It meets in Düsseldorf every four years – a home game for Melles & Stein.
This year, 17 clients asked us to supply their exhibition stands, including Hüttenes-Albertus, Heinrich Wagner Sinto, Ask Chemicals, Bosch Rexroth, Saint-Gobain and KUKA. There's a lot to tell.
However, it was obvious early on which story of the fair was going to be the best. It all started at GIFA 1999, when, as an agency in the second year of our existence, we were able to convince the Foseco Group in Borken to book its hostesses with Melles & Stein. Since then, we have supported Foseco (today the brand of Vesuvius GmbH) at all German trade fair appearances. This year, we celebrated the 20th anniversary of our sixth GIFA together - with Martin Scheidtmann - formerly Head of Marketing at Foseco and now International Trade Show Manager at Vesuvius GmbH, and Katrin Oberliess, our Chief Hostess at Foseco in 1999 and today our Head of Project Planning at Melles & Stein. Foseco forever! What a great story!
